After finally starting the first book in this series Unbreakable Bond I had to dig through my kindle until I found the second book in the series that I bought months ago. As with the first book I absolutely loved the character interactions, and the situations they found themselves in were always hilarious. There were a number of laugh out loud scenes but the scene with the girls in the diner was by far my favorite. The story was a little more serious than the first book, but since it was for the most part a quick, funny story it didn't make it feel dark at all. I'm still rooting for Danny!
I know whenever I read a Gemma Halliday book I will be entertained and she has not let me down. Jaime stumbles onto a case she is not supposed to look into her father,Derick's,shooting a few years back. she keeps getting warned away. in between nudist colonies,gay bars,and her receptionists mother playing detective it's a laugh a minute. will she solve the mystery into her dad's shooting?will she keep her clothes on?will she fall for ada Aidan or best friend Danny? read the book and get"stirred,not shaken"into the bond agency antics
Jamie and her girls are tricky and good at there jobs. They will do anything necessary to get the job done. They protect their families and solve old cases. I enjoyed the books but did notice a lot of the key phases are the same from different series from the same author, Gemma Halliday. Like "Runs his hand though his hair", "bulging vein in his neck," "legs turning to jelly," "drool over budging muscles" and "Tears on the back of her eyes." I think the author could come up with a few new phrases to say the same thing that would make the stories even better. Everyone should like this book just don't read them all together.
I am really sorry enjoying this series, it has the right combination of mystery and suspense to make you want to keep reading. I am attached to the characters and I can't wait to see what happens next.
After reading Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series and other series, I was looking for something to read along similar lines but not the same.
After reading the first book, Unbreakable Bond, I was psyched that there was a sequel so I downloaded Secret Bond shortly after. The way that Halliday and Fischetto write is excellent. The story is captivating and kept me turning page after page. I love how the books aren't totally predicatable either, and keep you guessing. The characters are relatable and I can't wait to see what will happen next in the emerging love triangle between Danny-Jamie-Aiden.
I would highly reccommend this series to read, and I can't wait for the next installment in the series!
Jamie and the girls are back!!! I have read every book Gemma has wrote and loved them all. I read the first Bond Agency book and emailed Gemma the next day asking for another book in the series ) This book is another great book by a truly talented author. James aka Jamie Bond is an ex supermodel turned PI. Her and her beautiful PI's take on some interesting cases. A cheating husband at a nudist colony, it doesn't get any better than that! A case involving a shooting brings up the past for her and her father, who started the Bond Agency. This book has mystery, comedy, romance, and drama. Everything I look for in a book. I think everyone should read Gemma's books.
'Secret Bond' pulled me in from the beginning and didn't let go. The storyline was full of action, mystery, uncomfortable situations and humor. The way it played out had Jamie in a few hairy situations. She makes a great lead. Sam, Maya and Caleigh make great side kicks for Jamie. They are all super smart, quick thinkers, beautiful and loyal. Danny made a good addition to the agency. I love his loyalty to Jamie. This series, 'James Bond Mysteries', has been one of my favorites. I can't wait to read more. A great add to your tbr list.
